I Found Freedom Free With Bluetooth Headsets

Going through this month’s edition of a leading health magazine, I came across this piece where the writer talks about the bad side of spending long durations at one’s workstation, sitting on the chair and that too commanding the spinal chord to bend in different ways. The writer spoke of how this can do serious damage to our nervous system, invite various orthopedic problems and also result in heavier buttocks, which is a dreadful thing to happen, especially to a woman.

So, this writer was advising her several readers, including me, how they can avoid these problems. One of her suggestions was to take frequent breaks in between. Get up and go for a five minute brisk walking after every half hour. Now, being an accounts manager for over 10 different kinds of clients, this is certainly not a very feasible idea for me. I get a call from some or the other client, like in every alternate minute. And I have to, by all means, attend these calls. And neither could I attempt the other exercises, since I did not want my colleagues to doubt on my sanity.

It was then that I thought of Bluetooth headsets, something that these young boys in my office with flashy gadgets and the strong desire to flaunt them, wear on their ear. I once happened to ask (sheepishly) to one of them, and got enlightened beyond I had expected, since my teacher was overexcited to show me his new possession and how he got it (which was one of the online sites) more than the desire to enlighten me.

So there I was, my mind made up to order for one of the Bluetooth headsets, through the world’s favourite way of shopping – Internet shopping. I ordered one and got the delivery well within the promised time. And now I can roam about freely, never missing a call, enjoying all the clarity of sound and the new found freedom in office. - the freedom to talk, the freedom to walk, the freedom to get up from my seat and the freedom from butt-related worries.
